For 10 days, surfers from all over Europe will get a chance to showcase their skills in a celebration of Irish and international surfing.
A total of sixteen European countries will battle it out for the glory of becoming the 2011 European Surfing Champions. Eurosurf Bundoran 2011 is expected to be the biggest and best event yet.
The competitive festival will take place from Friday 23rd of September until Sunday October 2nd and promises not to disappoint with 8 full days of thrilling competition, nightly entertainment, free gigs, street entertainment, lots of other family entertainment and a film festival including the gala Irish screening of “Soul Surfer”.
2008 Irish National Surfing Champion and 2009 British Pro-Tour Champion Easkey Britton (pictured) will be one of Ireland’s representatives at this year’s competition. Last winter, Easkey was towed into a 20-30 foot breaker off Mullaghmore in a daring feat that earned her recognition in the prestigious Billabong XXL international surfing awards.
